Program Pathways

Community Involvement

Social Commitment is at the heart of the Academic

College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo (MTA) academic offering. In accord with our commitment to Experiential Learning and Applied Research, the MTA offers students an opportunity to participate in a wide range of social projects and programs to effect positive change, and improve the lives of individuals, families and underserved communities throughout Israel.

Community Involvement

Individual Projects

With a focus on social issues such as educational attainment gaps and youth addictions, Individual Projects offer targeted solutions for a wide range of community-based programs, from preventive health and therapeutic aid, to academic enrichment.
Most projects align with Service-learning Courses found within each of the MTA’s five schools, and provide direct services that utilize student knowledge, experience and skill sets.

Longterm Programs

Longterm Programs integrate several MTA intervention programs to offer underserved communities with comprehensive solutions to complex social challenges. Our flagship program, ’Adopt a School’, works with the administration, staff, parents and students of a Jaffa-based high school to improve academic success rates and facilitate easier transitions to college.
