Short Bio
Dr. Lev Topor is a policy-oriented researcher and a private consultant in the fields of antisemitism and cybersecurity. Dr. Topor was a keynote speaker for the EC, the OSCE, the Israeli MFA, and other international organizations and governmental offices. He is the Head of the Cybersecurity Program at the School of Information Systems at the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, Israel. Topor is also a fellow at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP). Previously, Lev was a visiting ISGAP fellow at the Woolf Institute, Cambridge, United Kingdom, a former Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Cyber Law and Policy (CCLP), University of Haifa, Israel, and a former Visiting Scholar at the International Institute for Holocaust Research, Yad Vashem, Jerusalem. Professionally, Topor also holds the prestigious CISSP certification in the field of cybersecurity.
Lev published dozens of peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and reports on cyber policies, anonymous communications, racism, antisemitism, and anti-Zionism. Lev has published three books; he co-authored a book published in 2021 by Oxford University Press (w/ Fox, Jonathan), titled Why Do People Discriminate against Jews? Recently, Lev also published a book with Routledge titled Phishing for Nazis: Conspiracies, Anonymous Communications and White Supremacy Networks on the Dark Web. In 2024, Lev published his latest book Cyber Sovereignty: International Security, Mass Communication, and the Future of the Internet, which describes and predicts the future structure of the Internet, the book is a part of the renowned Global Power Shift series and it was published with Springer Nature.
